About Us

Hello and welcome to AntMeUp!

We – two friends with a shared passion – founded AntMeUp to share our enthusiasm for ants with others. For over 7 years, we have been keeping and observing a wide variety of ant species – from their first founding attempts to complex colonies with thousands of animals.

What began as a hobby eventually became a true passion – and finally, our own shop.

Why we do what we do

For us, ants are far more than just small insects. They are a reflection of teamwork, perseverance, and intelligence. Each colony has its own dynamic, its own story – and that's exactly what has fascinated us from day one.

We started with simple species, witnessed first foundings, overcame setbacks, and learned how different the needs and behaviors of the species are. We didn't want to keep this knowledge to ourselves.
Thus the idea was born: An ant shop that not only sells but also understands.

We believe that responsible ant keeping:

  • is educational for children and adults,
  • fosters patience, care, and understanding of nature,
  • and creates a fascinating connection to the world beneath our feet.

That's why we don't just pass on ants – we pass on our knowledge, our experience, and our enthusiasm.

With AntMeUp, we want to motivate others to become part of this special world themselves – safely, informed, and with a good feeling.

What is important to us:

  • Experience & Expertise instead of mass sales
  • Personal advice instead of anonymous shipping
  • Responsibility & Care in handling animals
  • Carebara diversa

Extrem schnelle Rekrutierung, starke Straßenbildung und beeindruckende Dynamik.

  • Acromyrmex octospinosus
