This high-quality plaster nest has been specially developed for the species-appropriate keeping of various ant species. The nest combines a natural nest structure with modern processing and allows for reliable humidity regulation as well as optimal observation possibilities.

The nest is carefully hand-cast and is based on our own, practically proven design. The integrated sand structure provides a natural environment and offers the ants a secure grip for moving, digging, and brooding.

The stable 3D-printed casing provides the nest with additional stability and protection. The transparent plexiglass pane allows for a clear view of the nest interior.

Natural Nest Structure

The chambers of the nest are provided with a fine sand structure. This supports the natural behavior of the ants and improves the adhesion of the animals to the nest walls. The structure is suitable for both smaller and medium-sized ant species.

The nest is available in two variants:

• 3-chamber system
• 4-chamber system

The multi-chamber design allows for good colony development and structured use of the brood areas.

Efficient Humidification System

The plaster nest has an integrated water reservoir in the base area. This can be filled from the outside without opening the nest or disturbing the colony. The plaster ensures an even distribution of moisture in the nest and supports stable climatic conditions.

Flexible Connection Options

The nest has a connection for integration into existing keeping systems.

Compatibility:

• Optimally suited for 14 mm tubes
• Compatible with 16 mm test tubes
• Usable for tube sizes up to approx. 18 mm

This allows the nest to be flexibly connected to outworlds or expansion modules.

The chamber and tunnel height are deliberately designed so that both smaller and medium-sized ant species can optimally use the nest.

Notes on Use

The nest should be slightly moistened before use to ensure stable humidity. Moisture is supplied via the water reservoir in the base area. Regular monitoring of humidity is recommended.
