Pheidole navigans

Name: Pheidole navigans
Origin: Central America (including Mexico) and parts of South America (including Venezuela, Paraguay)

Pheidole navigans is a small to medium-sized Pheidole species with the division into minor and major workers (soldiers) typical of the genus. The species was at times taxonomically classified as a subspecies of Pheidole flavens and later recognized again as a distinct species. Nuptial flights take place in summer (July/August).
